WORLD AIDS DAY

Under the slogan "You should start to believe", organizations and institutions in Nis that mark World AIDS Day, presented information on the number of registered people living with HIV. At a press conference at the Media Centre in Nis, there was a discussion about the activities that marks the World AIDS Day this year in Nis.
Media were addressed by prof. Dr. Biljana Kocic, an epidemiologist at the Public Health Institute Niš, president of Municipality of Palilula Boban Džunić, Miroslav Djokic, a member of the Youth Council of the City of Nis, Milos Andjelkovic, president of JAZAS Niš and Sandra Mančić, president of NGO "Sunce" in Niš.
The core activity of this year's campaign in Serbia, that this year is implemented under the slogan "No life lost due to AIDS", is the promotion of the importance of timely HIV testing. In addition to counseling and follow-up of people who had some risk in the near or distant past, specifically the treatment of the combination of highly potent antiretroviral drugs, disposal of morbidity and mortality from AIDS, living with HIV now can be long and well.
